2022 Kicks for Kids Registration

K4K 2022 needs facilitators in all areas of the Boundary. This program, like all of our programs, runs on the backs of the volunteers (parents) who see the value of the program and offer to be that person who will Coach. Yes we will train you, no you don’t need to know anything about Soccer.  🙂

Kicks for Kids, is a highly popular program that is growing year by year, for children ages 3 and 4 (Dec 31 2021). The objective is to give these kids a chance to play some soccer and soccer like games, on a field with other kids with the right equipment and a coach/facilitator.

It is an introduction to the game that will hopefully foster a life long love for soccer and being involved in sports. It is driven by having fun, not by achieving specific results.

Success is a returning participant!!

It is free and by drop in. (but you must register on line, see below)

Session times and places will be posted on our schedule page.

Want to join in on the fun of running such a program? We will train you.

There is no fees for K4K, but in order for us to know who is playing we have to have you register your player(s). Kids cannot attend without registering. Once successfully registered you can attend any K4K event. BYSA sends you a registration confirmation e-mail when complete, keep a copy of that on your phone or print a copy to show the Coach at the event that you are in fact registered. Easy Peasy!! 🙂

Tell us about any relevant medical players Coach should aware of, if none state None.

Fair Play Policy
If children are to grow and develop in their sport or physical activity, an environment of positive communication and respect must exist. Parents should observe the following Code of Conduct with their child athletes. The following code is taken from a resource manual developed for community coaches by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES). • I will remember that my child plays sport for his or her enjoyment, not for mine. • I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence. • I will teach my child that doing one's best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game/event. • I will make my child feel like a winner every time by offering praise for competing fairly and trying hard. • I will never ridicule or yell at my child for making a mistake or losing a competition. • I will remember that children learn best by example. I will applaud good players performances by both my child's team and their opponents. • I will not force my child to participate in sports. • I will never question the official's judgement or honesty in public. • I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children's sporting activities. • I will respect and show appreciation for the trained volunteer coaches who give their time to provide sport activities for my child, understanding that I have a responsibility to be a part of my child's development.
Parent Code of Conduct
As a parent, spectator and supporter of kids sports I promise to not interfere with the players game by being a sidline coach, by questioning the coach or ref during games, by being overly loud or abusive in any way to any person at any event, I will support all players by encouraging fair play, accepting losses with as much grace as a win, by not demanding of players unrealistic goals and to accept their perception of events as important and real. I will show respect to all players' efforts and support equal time for all kids to play regardless of talent or "stature" and above all I will remember that this is a kids game for kids' to have fun.
BYSA relies on its members volunteer efforts to make each season a success, without it we cannot function. There are lots of options to get involved; some tasks are larger, some smaller, the majority are short moments and usually quite fun. Many hands make for light work. May we contact you for a few hours of your time during the season? Also please see our Volunteer task sign up form on the Home page.
